Sports spaces in the City Park combine leisure and sustainable practices
There will be 14 environments dedicated to recreational activities

Under construction in an area almost five times larger than the Olympic Stadium of Pará (Mangueirão), the City Park in Belém is already emerging as one of the main leisure and sports spaces in the capital of Pará. In total, the complex will feature 14 environments aimed at sports and recreational activities, many of which are designed with sustainable solutions, such as the children's playground, which has flooring made from recycled tires.
The initiative reinforces the environmental commitment of the project, which is nearing the final stages of execution. Currently, about 90% of the works of the COP Stage have already been completed.

A large part of the sports structures is already ready, such as the sand courts, tennis, society football, volleyball, and basketball, in addition to ping pong tables, a running track, and a bike path. These spaces can be easily seen by those passing through Avenida Júlio César.
"Throughout the development of the City Park project, we were concerned with incorporating practices and solutions aligned with the principles of sustainability. It was in this context that we sought alternatives capable of adding environmental value to the park, without sacrificing functionality and aesthetics," emphasized the Deputy Secretary of Culture, Bruno Chagas.

Some structures are still in the finalization phase, such as the skate park and the covered multipurpose court, which is undergoing the final painting stage. The court will feature a thermal-acoustic tile roof, a technology that improves thermal and acoustic comfort, reducing the need for artificial cooling and electricity consumption. This same material will also be used in other buildings in the park, such as the Gastronomic Center and the Creative Economy Center.
In addition to the sports infrastructure, the City Park will also offer ecological trails and routes integrated with the Rubber Tree Grove, providing the population with direct contact with nature.
