Trio arrested for drug trafficking in Parauapebas

The Civil Police of Pará, through the Regional Superintendence of Carajás, arrested three people in the act for the crime of drug trafficking in Parauapebas, southeastern Pará, on Thursday (12). The arrests occurred with the support of the personnel from the Homicide Police Station of Parauapebas and the Urban Section of Parauapebas.

The PC team became aware of the sale of narcotics on Melquesedeque Street, located in the Betânia neighborhood. Based on the information, the agents began investigations in the area and confirmed the crime of drug trafficking in the region.

"During the operation, two men and one woman were seen committing the crime of drug sales, at which point the civil police conducted the approach and personal search on the suspects. They were found with 1.114 kg of a substance similar to skunk, 15 g of material similar to cocaine, two precision scales, various vials used to package cocaine-like drugs, a .38 caliber revolver, 30 rounds of 9 mm ammunition, four .38 caliber rounds, and one discharged cartridge," explained the regional superintendent, delegate João Abel.

The suspects were arrested and taken to the Parauapebas Police Station for the necessary procedures.
