CIIR Entrepreneurs' Fair Celebrates Inclusion, Talent, and Love in a Festive June Atmosphere
Event concluded this Thursday (12), Valentine's Day, with a special program
Promoting social inclusion, income generation, and moments of affection, the Entrepreneurs' Fair of the Integrated Center for Inclusion and Rehabilitation (CIIR) concluded this Thursday (12), yet another special edition. Also held on June 10 and 11 at the CIIR headquarters, the event is an initiative of the Arts and Culture sector and integrates institutional actions that value the talents of users, companions, and collaborators.
The event, which takes place monthly at the institution in Belém, also has editions at the Specialized Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder (Cetea), which will occur this month on Monday, the 16th. With a proposal for inclusive trade, the activity encourages entrepreneurship and income supplementation, strengthening the bonds among participants while promoting citizenship during health services.
This edition, which featured the participation of 32 entrepreneurs, brought the June theme with colors, flavors, and traditions to the center's hallways. “We always plan something extra for the fairs. Each edition of the fair has a theme, and June has this joyful, happy moment of relaxation during the month’s festivities,” explained Denise Morais, supervisor of the Arts and Culture sector at CIIR.
At the booths, products such as handicrafts, regional foods, clothing, sensory toys, adapted materials, and educational items caught the public's attention. And on Valentine's Day, the atmosphere was even more celebratory, with a special program that included karaoke and tributes to couples present at the venue.
Among the honorees were Micilene Camilo, 32, and Francisco Nunes, 44, who participated with emotion. The couple, who live in the rural area of Mocajuba, travels weekly to the capital to accompany two of their four daughters for services at CIIR. “We have built a beautiful family. Despite the difficulties, we are very happy. Unlike many families that fall apart, we remain united,” said Micilene.
She highlighted the welcome received at the rehabilitation center. “I feel very grateful for having this opportunity to be here, to see good people who treat us well. And my daughter too, who receives the necessary support from consultations and therapies from the multidisciplinary team. I wish the best for her and for all the families that come through here,” she shared.
Micilene also left a special message for the date: “This Valentine's Day, what I wish is for people to have more love, patience, to be more partners. To take care of one another, especially the children. We need this: unity, respect, and to carry this feeling beyond our home, to society as well.”
The CIIR Entrepreneurs' Fair reaffirms the institution's commitment to comprehensive rehabilitation, which values the human being in its entirety—physical, social, and emotional—promoting opportunities and strengthening bonds that go beyond health care.
