The State Department of Public Health (Sespa) and the Military Fire Department of Pará (CBMPA) have prepared an integrated structure for care and safety to ensure peace of mind for the population during the four days of Pararraiá 2025. The event will take place from Thursday (12) to Sunday (15), in the parking lot of the Mangueirão Olympic Stadium, in Belém, with an expectation of gathering more than 400,000 people.

Known as the "São João of the Amazon," Pararraiá is free and will feature 15 national attractions, in addition to local bands and sound systems. With the large flow of people, the event requires coordinated actions among state agencies to ensure a quick response to any eventuality.

The State Secretary of Health, Ivete Vaz, emphasizes that the initiative is not limited to the event. "These are strategic measures, and most do not have only a punctual character, aimed solely at the event period. They are actions planned by the State Government to integrate into the routine of care in the network, especially in the area of urgency and emergency," she explained.

Health and safety side by side - To ensure the tranquility of the population, Sespa has articulated strategic actions focused on the backup of the state health network, ensuring a quick response in cases of urgency. The medical structure at the event site, composed of care posts, basic and advanced support ambulances, in addition to firefighters and rescuers, will be the responsibility of the organizing company of Pararraiá 2025.

Security will also be reinforced with a contingent of 128 military firefighters mobilized in extraordinary regime. The corporation's actions will focus on fire prevention, pre-hospital care, risk control, and emergency support in areas of large gatherings.

The teams have been strategically distributed, with rescuers at the Mobile Command Post and foot patrols, in addition to specialized vehicles, such as fire-fighting trucks and rescue units positioned at key points, in coordination with the Integrated Command and Control Center (CICC).

To ensure agility in care, equipment such as first aid backpacks, stretchers, fire extinguishers, cold cutters, emergency care tents, and communication radios have been employed. "Active prevention will be the central pillar of our actions," reinforced Lieutenant Colonel Marcos Leão. "The Fire Department reaffirms its commitment to the safety of the population. Our teams are prepared to act effectively during Pararraiá. Our goal is to ensure that everyone can enjoy with peace of mind, knowing that we are ready for any eventuality," he stated.

Hospitals ready to handle emergencies

In addition to the structure at the festival site, four state network hospitals will act as backup units, prepared for urgent and emergency care:

- Metropolitan Hospital of Urgency and Emergency (BR-316, Km 3): reference in traumatology, medium and high complexity, 24h;
- Gaspar Vianna Clinical Hospital (Travessa Alferes Costa, Pedreira): specialized in cardiology and psychiatry;
- Dr. Roberto Macedo Emergency Hospital (Augusto Montenegro, Parque Guajará): adult and pediatric urgency and emergency;
- Women's Hospital (Av. Gentil Bittencourt, São Brás): specialized care in cases of sexual and domestic violence.

Commitment to the population

The Deputy Secretary of Health Policy Management, Heloisa Guimarães, also reinforced the importance of the integrated action. "We are working together to ensure that Pararraiá is not only a great cultural event but also a safe environment. It is a responsibly planned initiative, with mobilized teams and quality structure. This is an action that reaffirms the State Government's commitment to care in all dimensions: from prevention to rapid response in emergency situations," she concluded.

With this special scheme, the Government of Pará ensures that Pararraiá 2025 will be a celebration of joy, tradition, and protection for all.
