Ideflor-Bio promotes meeting to discuss planning of activities in the Iriri State Forest
During the action, the main demands that need to be addressed in the Conservation Unit were presented to the Management Council

The Management of the Xingu Administrative Region (GRX) of the Institute of Forest Development and Biodiversity (Ideflor-Bio) held another Ordinary Meeting of the Management Council of the Iriri State Forest (Flota) in the southwestern region of Pará. The meeting allowed for discussions on the demands and planning of activities to be developed in the Conservation Unit (UC).
According to the head of GRX, Marco Aurélio Oliveira, the meeting was important for outlining the action plan and bringing benefits to the local community. “This way, it is possible to collaboratively outline a plan that meets the needs of both the forest management council and benefits the residents and the local community,” he emphasized.
Marco Aurélio also highlighted that the meeting helped in creating new activities in the region. “This meeting will assist in the management of the Flota Iriri, as it will provide guidance for decision-making by Ideflor-Bio in the region,” added the leader.
In addition to the Institute, representatives from the Municipal Secretary of the Environment of Novo Progresso, the City Council of Novo Progresso, and the Non-Governmental Organization ENANGI, among others, participated in the meeting.
For the Director of Management and Monitoring of Conservation Units, Ellivelton Carvalho, “holding meetings like this reinforces Ideflor-Bio's commitment to participatory and transparent management of Conservation Units. By listening to the management council and representatives of the local community, we can align priorities, strengthen partnerships, and ensure that actions in the Flota Iriri are integrated with the real needs of the territory,” he stated.
