Beneficiaries of the CNH Pai D’égua program in Conceição do Araguaia receive driver's licenses
In total, 60 driver's licenses were delivered by the state government in the municipality

The CNH Pai D'égua Social Program delivered driver's licenses to about 60 beneficiaries in the municipality of Conceição do Araguaia, in southeastern Pará. Only those who completed all mandatory steps and passed the practical exam received the document.
During the delivery, this Saturday (7), Governor Helder Barbalho emphasized the importance of the program for the people of Pará. As he highlighted, the CNH Pai D'égua is the largest social licensing program in Brazil, and the selected individuals are exempt from all Detran fees, including those from Driver Training Centers (driving schools).

"It is a joy to be back here in Conceição do Araguaia to deliver the CNH Pai D’égua. It is important to note that today, for someone to obtain a driver's license, the fees and costs paid to a driving school amount to around R$ 5,000. For less than that, you cannot obtain the document. And we are providing it for free, to help those who will be able to work, earn an income, or have a motorcycle to deliver food. This is the intention behind the conception and creation of the CNH Pai D’égua."

The CNH Pai D'égua is a program of the Government of Pará, coordinated by the State Traffic Department (Detran), which ensures the issuance of the driver's license completely free of charge to low-income individuals in all 144 municipalities.

Caroline Rodrigues Costa, 21, was a beneficiary of the program and was very happy to have her driver's license in hand for the first time. "It was very smooth and completely free. I signed up just to sign up, I thought I wouldn't make it. Then I thought, now I will take advantage of the opportunity. I liked the practical classes the most. And knowing that you received a document that is approved and that you will be able to drive is important for you? Very, because it is very necessary nowadays. What do you plan to do now that you have the document? Now I will get my vehicles and enjoy. I want to thank a lot because it was a huge opportunity, very good, and it is worth it to get the license."

In this second edition of the program, 60,000 people will benefit throughout the State with the aim of enabling them to use the driver's license to improve their income. In addition to the first license, the program also ensures benefits for those who want to add or change categories. All driver's licenses are classified as paid, allowing beneficiaries to seek better integration into the job market.
