The Amazon Foundation for Support of Studies and Research (Fapespa) held an informative workshop on the announcement of the Research Program for SUS (PPSUS) on the morning of this Friday (06). The event was held remotely and included the participation of representatives from Fapespa, researchers, and interested parties. The objective was to clarify details and answer questions regarding the announcement, launched last month.

“The workshop aimed to clarify the main doubts of those interested in submitting proposals in this call, especially regarding the submission system, which is being used for the first time for proposals from Fapespa's announcements. The workshop is also a tool for bringing Fapespa, the Ministry of Health, and potential proponents closer together, eligible for submitting proposals,” explains Carina Silva, coordinator of Fapespa's scientific directorate.

The call No. 006/2025 - Research Program for SUS (PPSUS) Shared Management in Health – FAPESPA/SESPA/DECIT MS/CNPq, will invest R$ 6 million in scientific and technological research projects that propose solutions to the main challenges of public health in Pará. The objective of this program is to develop innovative products, processes, or solutions with the potential for implementation in primary, specialized, or hospital care within SUS.

It is important to highlight that the announcement is directed towards researchers with a doctorate degree, who have a permanent link to a Scientific, Technological, and Innovation institution (ICT) or a higher education institution (IES), public or private non-profit, with a curriculum focused on health research and who can contribute with solutions to health priorities on priority topics for the state of Pará. The submitted proposals will be evaluated according to technical criteria, social relevance, and feasibility of applying the results in the public health network.

“The PPSUS aims to support research projects that seek solutions for improving the quality of health in the state of Pará, on priority topics for the development of Science, Technology, and Innovation, in the context of the Unified Health System,” comments coordinator Carina Silva.
