In total, seven houses were affected by the fire, with five completely and two partially destroyed

The Government of Pará, through the Housing Company of Pará (Cohab), inspected and registered the seven houses affected by a fire that occurred on the morning of this Tuesday (4), on Santa Lúcia passage, in the Cremação neighborhood, in Belém. The inspection was accompanied by the president of Cohab, Manoel Pioneiro.

"It is a sadness for all of us, for the governor, Helder Barbalho, for our vice-governor Hana, and for everyone in general. But I want to let all of you who suffered this disaster know that Cohab was here precisely to help you with the material issue, to ensure that you can have your house rebuilt and live with dignity," said Pioneiro. In total, seven houses were affected, with five completely and two partially destroyed by the fire.
A resident of one of the houses that were completely destroyed, Cristiano de Almeida, who lives with his mother and grandmother, says that the moment is difficult, but he feels more relieved with the support from the State Government.

"That's basically it, we can't even assimilate what we are feeling about what happened to us here today, but we are happy to know, not just me but my family, knowing that we can have the support coming from the government with this assistance to rebuild our house," he said.

The retiree Esmerita Barbosa, who is building her residence with the housing benefit "Sua Casa", suffered damage to the walls and windows of her house. "I am registering to receive the funds again, as I have already been informed that in case of disaster, thank God, I can receive more funds from Sua Casa," she said relieved.

The housing benefit Sua Casa consists of the donation of financial resources, through a check, accepted in construction material stores. The assistance allows the purchase of materials for building houses. There is also a check to assist with the labor of the mason. The housing benefit can reach up to R$ 21,000.
