The delivery took place at the Usina da Paz in Marituba and provided adults, seniors, and children with 436 new prescription glasses.

The State Government continued, this Wednesday (4), the delivery of free prescription glasses to residents of the Metropolitan Region of Belém. On this occasion, 436 new glasses were delivered to residents of Marituba.
The event took place at the Usina da Paz in the municipality and benefited adults, seniors, and children who participated in the eye exams conducted last March, during an event that celebrated the 3rd anniversary of the Usina da Paz Antônia Corrêa.

Retiree Josinete Alves was one of the beneficiaries and stated that the new glasses will help her a lot from now on. “I am diabetic and without glasses my vision is worthless. I was already having blurred and cloudy vision. Now it’s a new life. The service was all right, thank God, and I can only be grateful.”
Driver Berg Gomes also took the morning to pick up his new vision equipment and thanked for the service provided. “New glasses are expensive and this action helps us save money. It was about time to update my glasses, so this action came up and I took advantage of it. I am very grateful,” he said.
“Today we delivered more than 400 new glasses. We hope that everyone can make good use of these items and that the glasses can improve the lives of the population, so they can now read, sew, and do whatever is necessary in life in a healthier way,” declared the State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth de Fátima Braga.

Service - Those who could not attend the delivery this Wednesday can pick up the glasses directly at the reception of the Usina da Paz Antônia Corrêa, located at Rua Bom Sossego, Setov V, Nova União neighborhood, in Marituba. It is necessary to present an official photo ID.
