The fourth section of the New Doca Linear Park can now be closely viewed by the population of Belém. Block 4, located between Avenida Senador Lemos/Rua 28 de Setembro and Rua Cônego Jerônimo Pimentel/Rua Manoel Barata, is receiving the installation of public equipment that will make up the work, one of the investments for the realization of COP30 (World Conference on Climate Change) in the capital of Pará, in November of this year.

“We are removing the barriers from another block of the New Doca, which is part of the set of works for COP30 and for the population. With this, we have already presented half of the work for public viewing, highlighting the progress, fulfilling the schedule closely monitored by Governor Helder Barbalho and Vice Governor Hana Ghassan,” highlighted the Secretary of Public Works, Ruy Cabral.

Block 4 of the New Doca has an extension of approximately 180 meters and is receiving urbanization, landscaping, and asphalt paving on the side streets. The space includes a bike path, a kiosk with a contemplation area, shading structures, two playgrounds, a gym, a basketball court, and living areas with benches.

The area will have the planting of 27 trees that make up the landscaping of the Linear Park. In total, 180 trees will be planted along the eight blocks. In the strategy for water purification, Block 4 will also have a wastewater treatment system through wetlands, the so-called "filter gardens," which use plants that absorb impurities from the canal and return oxygen, reducing environmental impacts.

The New Doca project will ensure the proper collection and treatment of sanitary sewage in the region. The system will be connected to the Treatment Station (ETE) of Una, currently under construction on Arthur Bernardes Highway.

Executed by the State Secretariat of Public Works (Seop), the sanitation services are 45% complete and will ensure the removal of the volume of sewage that is irregularly discharged into the canal, improving water quality and providing more basic infrastructure for the population.

Linear Park – A partnership between the Government of Pará and the Federal Government, through Itaipu Binacional, the New Doca involves 1.2 kilometers of canal, with drainage, landscaping, urbanization, bike paths, and the construction of walkways, in addition to the replacement of the sluices for tide control, in order to prevent flooding.

More than 2.4 kilometers of Avenida Visconde de Souza Franco will also be paved, and other deep and shallow drainage systems will be constructed to receive rainwater, sanitary sewage network, and drinking water piping.
