PC do Pará launches 9th phase of Operation Parabellum in Pará, Goiás, and Santa Catarina
With the operation, the Criminal Gang Suppression Department reaches a total of 120 arrests in 2025

The Civil Police of Pará launched, last Friday (30), the ninth phase of Operation Parabellum, to execute preventive arrest warrants and search and seizure orders in the states of Pará, Goiás, and Santa Catarina. The action focused on combating criminal gangs operating across state lines.
Coordinated by the Organized Crime Suppression Division (DRCO), through the Criminal Gang Suppression Department (DRFC), the operation resulted in the execution of 11 preventive arrest warrants and the flagrant arrest of two individuals for drug trafficking and conspiracy to traffic.

During the operation, a transfer (the transfer of a prisoner from one prison facility to another) of a criminal gang leader who operated in the penitentiary system of Rio de Janeiro to the prison system of Pará was also carried out.
According to delegate Erir Netto, the investigations identified members of the gang through an internal control system that included registrations and periodic video call meetings. “These conferences demonstrated the organized structure of the group and its connection to criminal practices,” he stated.

The targets of the operation are suspected of involvement in crimes such as drug trafficking and extortion, with occurrences recorded in various regions of Pará.
“This operation shows that the Civil Police of Pará is increasingly firm in combating criminal gangs. The efficient and determined action of the teams reinforces the commitment to the safety of the population and proves that there are no limits to police action, even when criminals try to hide in other states of the country,” emphasized the Director of Specialized Police (DPE), Evandro Araújo.

Delegate Breno Ruffeil, head of the DRFC, highlighted that with this phase, the unit reaches a total of 120 arrests made only in 2025. “These numbers reflect the commitment of the Civil Police in the qualified confrontation against criminal organizations operating in the state,” he said.
All warrants were issued by the Organized Crime Combat Court of the State of Pará, with a favorable opinion from the Special Action Group for Combating Organized Crime (GAECO) of the Public Ministry of Pará.
The operation also had the support of the Police Intelligence Center (NIP), the Interior Police Directorate (DPI), the Civil Police of Goiás and Santa Catarina, as well as the collaboration of the Penitentiary Administration Secretariats of Pará and Rio de Janeiro.
