Strategic sectors drive investments in Pará and increase CODEC's demand in May
The state enhances its attraction for sustainable investments and consolidates itself as a leader in the new green economy

Companies in the bioeconomy, clean energy, manufacturing, logistics, and textile sectors intensified their search for institutional support from the Pará Economic Development Company (CODEC) throughout May. The increase in demand reflects the increasingly favorable business environment created by the State Government, which focuses on sustainable development, job creation, and the appreciation of local assets.
CODEC recorded growth in the number of services and institutional visits, consolidating itself as the gateway for national and international investors interested in developing projects in Pará with social and environmental responsibility.

During the period, the Company's headquarters received representatives from ventures with proposals aimed at different strategic sectors of the economy. The agendas addressed topics such as tax incentives, infrastructure, land regularization, and access to priority areas for regional development.
Support for sustainable ventures
Among the highlights of May, CODEC received representatives from the Fortgroup business group, responsible for FortParáOil, a company that works in partnership with local producers in the municipality of Acará, focusing on the production of natural inputs from Amazonian biodiversity. The project aims to strengthen the verticalization of the production chain with bioeconomic solutions and maintains partnerships with indigenous and riverside communities for the sustainable collection of raw materials.
The visit aimed to align the next steps of the venture's expansion with the technical support of the Investment and Business Attraction Directorate (DAIN). The company already has institutional support from CODEC to enable its operations in the Pará territory.
“Pará has the vocation to lead the bioeconomy in Brazil. Our job is to attract companies that want to invest responsibly, respecting the territory and valuing local assets,” said Manoel Ibiapina, director of DAIN.
Businessman Felipe Vieira from the São Paulo group also emphasized the importance of the support received: “CODEC has been essential for the consolidation of our project in the Amazon. The partnership with the Company has strengthened us and given us the confidence to grow responsibly and generate real impact in the territory.”
Diversification and innovation in investments
In addition to projects focused on bioeconomy, CODEC also received, in May, representatives from other ventures with innovative proposals. Among the highlights are: a national group from the textile sector interested in expanding its industrial base in the North region; an international agency focused on promoting sustainable investments in green mining, energy, and education; a company proposing to transform solid waste from the Amazon into raw materials with energy value, and a company specialized in decarbonization solutions and liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply.
These services reinforce the confidence of the productive sector in the business environment of Pará, which has been built on the basis of institutional security, technical support, and strategic guidance promoted by the State Government. “Our role is to build bridges between investors and the State, creating a favorable environment for innovation, sustainability, and the generation of opportunities for the people of Pará,” added Ibiapina.
Path to COP 30
The intensification of business agendas occurs at a strategic moment: Pará is preparing to host, in November 2025, the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30). The search for investments aligned with the green economy and environmental preservation positions the state as a protagonist of a new development model for the Amazon. “COP30 is not just an event. It is a historic opportunity to show that Pará is already making the transition to a low-carbon, inclusive, and innovative economy,” said CODEC president, Lutfala Bitar.
CODEC reaffirms its commitment to support, guide, and enable projects that are in tune with the guidelines of the Government of Pará, contributing to transform the state's potential into concrete results for its population.
