CIIR celebrates seven years with an action focused on women's health, in partnership with Sesc
The initiative offers preventive exams to users and collaborators of CIIR and Cetea, in commemoration of the International Day of Action for Women's Health
In commemoration of the International Day of Action for Women's Health, celebrated on May 28, the Integrated Center for Inclusion and Rehabilitation (CIIR) launched a special program focused on preventive care for women's health. The initiative is part of the celebrations for the unit's seven years, which will be completed on the next 30th, and takes place in partnership with the Sesc Mulher project.
The action offers mammography and preventive (Pap smear) exams for users and collaborators of both CIIR and the Specialized Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder (Cetea). The services are provided on the premises of both units and will continue until June 24, facilitating access to essential exams for the early diagnosis of breast and cervical cancer.
Accessible and welcoming care
CIIR user, Antônia Alexandre Ramos Nobre, 44 years old, celebrated the importance of the initiative, especially for atypical mothers. “It is an initiative of extreme importance. Often we have a limited routine to take care of our own health. Having a moment like this, while our children are receiving care, makes all the difference.”
She also emphasized the importance of comprehensive attention to women's health. “As the years go by, a woman's body requires even more monitoring, and we do not always have the means to maintain this care. This type of action within CIIR is extraordinary.”
Collaborators are also included
Administrative assistant Daryana Cristina Santos dos Santos, who works at the unit, also praised the action. “This partnership between CIIR and Sesc is very important. Often we cannot travel to another location to get the exams done, so it was very positive that they brought this service to us.”
According to her, the facilitated access reinforces self-care. “Most of the time, women end up putting their health on the back burner. This action reminds us of the importance of prioritizing ourselves.”
Commitment to women's comprehensive health
The action reinforces CIIR's role as a space that promotes humanized, accessible, and preventive care for women's health, aligned with public policies aimed at health equity.
