Estação das Docas strengthens partnership with Tourist Protection Police Station
Since May 20, the Police Station operates on the mezzanine of Warehouse 2 at Estação das Docas with service in Portuguese, English, and Spanish
In alignment with the delivery of the Tourist Protection Police Station (DEPTUR), which took place on May 20 at Estação das Docas in Belém, employees and security guards participated in a meeting on the morning of this Thursday (29) with Delegate Guilherme Gonçalves, responsible for the unit.
During the meeting, participants received guidance on service protocols in situations such as theft, robbery, loss of documents, and other occurrences involving tourists. Participants also reported everyday cases and received instructions on the correct referral and reception of tourists.
The meeting aimed to reinforce the integration between the tourist complex and public security agencies. The delegate made himself available to conduct future training focused on serving vulnerable groups and emphasized the importance of ensuring that all visitors feel safe and well-received in the space.
The police station operates on the mezzanine of Warehouse 2 and offers service in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with a team composed of a delegate, a clerk, and an investigator. The initiative strengthens the structure of Estação das Docas as an increasingly safe environment, prepared for the growth of tourism, especially with the arrival of COP30.
“The meeting with the delegate was essential for us to align procedures and further improve how we handle delicate situations in our daily routine. Our goal is to ensure a welcoming, safe experience that is increasingly prepared to receive audiences of different profiles, especially with the proximity of COP30,” highlighted Roni Ferreira, coordinator of Estação das Docas.
