The Civil Police of Pará, through the Directorate for Combating Corruption (Decor) and the Division for the Repression of Money Laundering (DRLD), launched Operation "Algorithm" and executed, on the morning of this Wednesday (28), nine judicial search and seizure warrants in the Pará municipalities of Belém, Marabá, Parauapebas, and also in Brasília, in the Federal District. The operation was supported by Decor/DF, the Police Intelligence Center, the State Directorate for Combating Cyber Crimes (DECCC), and the State Department of Finance of Pará (Sefa).

The action is part of an ongoing investigation into the practice of crimes against the tax order and money laundering, involving a business group operating in multiple economic sectors.

“The investigations, initiated from financial intelligence reports, revealed indications of tax evasion, concealment of assets, and attempts to circumvent judicial blocks through atypical banking transactions,” reported delegate Fausto Bulcão, director of Decor in Pará.

“Some companies in the group operated with daily zero bank balances and were based in an accounting office, which reinforces suspicions of an asset shielding scheme,” explained the director.

During the execution of the judicial warrants, cell phones, various documents, accounting materials, equipment, and electronic devices were seized, in addition to a considerable amount of cash. A .380 caliber pistol, accompanied by 50 intact rounds, was seized and presented at the Urban Section of Marabá for the necessary legal proceedings.

The Justice also authorized the breaking of the fiscal and banking secrecy of the investigated individuals, as well as the blocking of amounts totaling approximately five million reais.

“The investigations remain ongoing, with the aim of identifying all those involved in the criminal scheme. The Civil Police of the State of Pará reiterates its institutional commitment to the rigorous fight against crimes against the tax order, acting in defense of the public interest,” stated director Fausto.
