Sefa seizes 129 refrigerators valued at R$ 380 thousand

At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit in Gurupi, in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, bordering Maranhão, state tax inspectors seized, on Monday (26), 129 refrigerators valued at approximately R$ 380 thousand.
“The closed box truck presented an invoice for vertical showcases, and the inspection team decided to physically verify the cargo in order to accurately identify the goods, finding that it was 129 units of new refrigerators being sent from Maracanaú (CE) to the fixed assets of a company in Belém (PA) and that the Differential ICMS rate (Difal) due to the State of Pará was not being collected,” said the coordinator of the tax unit, Gustavo Bozola.
Additionally, an analysis of the registration systems identified that the recipient company has an irregular tax situation in Pará for not making ICMS payments. The load of refrigerators was valued at R$ 380,267.64 and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 42,347.98, corresponding to the tax and fine.
