Public Security System of Pará receives delegation from the National Public Security Fund
State is a national highlight in the application of resources and a reference in the integration of security forces

The State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) received, on this Monday (26), the visit of managers from the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, linked to the National Public Security Fund (FNSP). The meeting, held at the Segup headquarters in Belém, aimed to evaluate the execution of investments made by the State with resources from the federal fund, as well as to strengthen the integration between institutions.
During the meeting, the head of Segup, Ualame Machado, highlighted Pará's pioneering trajectory in the integration of public security forces, which has decisively contributed to the fight against crime.

“Pará has historically been an example of integration. We were the first State to install an Integrated Operations Center, the first to create a Public Security Council. We have the Integrated River Group with integrated bases, and the Air Group with joint action from all forces. Today we are at the Integrated Command and Control Center, a symbol of this articulation. We remain firm with many deliveries to make, and the partnership with the Federal Government is essential in this process,” pointed out the secretary.
The visit of the federal delegation also focused on presenting a historical balance of the transfers made by the FNSP to Pará since 2019, demonstrating the volumes of resources transferred, their purposes, and the results achieved.
National highlight in execution
According to the general coordinator of Budget and Finance and substitute director of Management of the FNSP, Eduardo Manso, Pará has stood out nationally in the application of resources. According to him, the State achieved, in 2024, the highest execution volume in recent history, with even more promising projections for 2025.

“In 2024 alone, Pará managed to execute more resources than in all previous years combined. We expect 2025 to be even better. We visited institutions such as the Military Police, Fire Department, Civil Police, and Scientific Police, and it was extremely enlightening to observe the commitment of professionals and the cohesion of the security forces. The integrated action has generated excellent results for the population — which is, after all, the biggest beneficiary,” he assessed.
National Public Security Fund
The National Public Security Fund is a tool of the Ministry of Justice aimed at supporting strategic projects in the areas of security and violence prevention, aligned with the National Public Security Plan. In Pará, the good application of resources is directly linked to the reduction of criminal rates.

“Pará has shown excellent results, especially in the reduction of homicides, one of the most serious crimes. The arrival of COP30 also puts the State in international highlight. We hope that other countries recognize the high level of efficiency and crime resolution promoted by the Pará security forces,” concluded Manso.
