Vice Governor of Pará inspects construction works of the new Usina da Paz in the municipality of Igarapé-Miri
The construction project of the new citizenship complex of the State Government is progressing rapidly and already has over 84% of the services completed.
The Vice Governor of Pará, Hana Ghassan, conducted a technical visit on Friday (23) to the construction works of the first Usina da Paz in the municipality of Igarapé-Miri, in northeastern Pará. The project for the new citizenship complex of the state government already has over 84% of the services completed.
On the day the municipality celebrates its 129th anniversary, the Vice Governor, during her agenda in the city, personally monitored the progress in the construction of another unit of the Usinas da Paz project, a national reference in promoting citizenship and combating violence. Soon, the new citizenship complex will be a reference for services to the population of Igarapé-Miri, offering more than 70 free services.
"Today is a day of celebration here in the beloved municipality of Igarapé-Miri. I am following the construction of the Usina da Paz, a project that we know is very important for the city. I am very happy to see that the work is nearing completion and, God willing, we will soon be here again, delivering this project that transforms lives and provides opportunities for thousands of families with training courses, access to culture, access to sports, and citizenship actions," declared the Vice Governor of Pará, Hana Ghassan during the inspection of the works.
Structure - In Igarapé-Miri, the Usina da Paz complex will be located on Rodovia Moura Carvalho, Boa Esperança neighborhood.
Like the other units already delivered by the State, the new UsiPaz will also feature state-of-the-art equipment and structured spaces aimed at carrying out activities in education, culture, sports, social assistance, professional training, and services in health and citizenship.
Usinas da Paz - The Usinas da Paz are citizenship complexes implemented by the State Government to promote social inclusion, reduce violence, and improve the quality of life of the population in vulnerable areas of the State.
The project is part of the Territórios Pela Paz (TerPaz) program. Since 2021, with the delivery of the first Usina da Paz, the citizenship complexes have already guaranteed over 9.3 million services.
Currently, 13 units are fully operational in Belém (Jurunas/Condor, Guamá, Terra Firme, Bengui, and Cabanagem); in the municipalities of Ananindeua, Marituba, Benevides, and Castanhal, in the Metropolitan Region; Abaetetuba, in Baixo Tocantins, and Marabá, Parauapebas, and Canaã dos Carajás, in southeastern Pará.
In addition to Igarapé-Miri, another 23 new UsiPaz are under construction, totaling 24 new units that will soon change the reality of communities in the cities of Altamira, Bragança, Cametá, Paragominas, Tucuruí, Santa Izabel do Pará, Capanema, Redenção, Itaituba, Santarém, Viseu, Igarapé-Miri, Barcarena, Breves, Dom Eliseu, São Miguel do Guamá, Portel, Moju, Parauapebas (second Usina), Óbidos, Salinópolis, Tomé-Açu, São Félix do Xingu, and Belém, in the district of Icoaraci.
