Mangal das Garças will have several attractions this Sunday, 25
Children will be able to participate in a paint-making workshop and an event about wildlife protection
This Sunday (25), the Mangal das Garças Zoobotanical Park will have a morning full of activities to welcome visitors. Fun is guaranteed for the kids within the Ecoarte project, which this week will hold a paint-making workshop. The program will start at 10 am and will take place in the amphitheater. In the surroundings of the Amazon Navigation Memorial, Laforvet will promote an event about wildlife protection, with the support of OS Pará 2000. The event will be from 8 am to 12 pm. Participation is free.
Ecoarte - The workshop this week will give children the opportunity to learn how to prepare their own homemade paints, using natural pigments, baking soda, and white glue. The aim is to spark the little ones' interest in sustainable and creative practices.
Environmental education moment and Ecozoo - The Forensic Veterinary Medicine Academic League, Laforvet, with the support of OS Pará 2000, will promote a day of learning and awareness at Mangal, with the purpose of educating about the legal and forensic aspects of wildlife exploitation and trafficking and discussing the importance of combating illegal animal ownership.
The activity will also feature a special moment from Ecozoo, which will present various animals in a rotating manner, with each one on display for about 40 minutes. Among them will be the mangrove parrot, the scarlet ibis, a hawklet, and the white-billed toucan.
Initiatives - The Ecoarte and Ecozoo projects are an initiative of the Government of the State of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Tourism (Setur), in partnership with the Social Organization Pará 2000, which manages Mangal das Garças. The proposal is to offer educational and cultural activities that engage with themes such as sustainability, nature, and art.

Ticket: Free entry. For monitored spaces (butterfly house, memorial, and lighthouse), the fee is R$ 9.00 (half: R$ 4.50).
