State revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa) of Pará seized, on Thursday, the 22nd, boat axles and metal floors, goods valued at approximately R$ 185,000.00. The officials are assigned to the Coordination of Goods Control in Transit of Gurupi, in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará.

“During the inspection, a pickup truck was intercepted on BR-316, with goods in the cargo bed and in a trailer attached. The driver presented a simple shipment invoice, valued at R$ 32,352.80, without presenting any rental contract or service provision for 310 axles for small boat trailers, which left Belém, destined for Pinheiro (MA). Upon analyzing the presented invoice, it was found that the recipient was a company trading in boat products and the sender was an individual, which characterizes the commercial intent of the operation, thus making the ICMS, state tax, due,” explained the coordinator of the Tax Unit, Gustavo Bozola.

Floors – On the same day, 500 pieces of metal floors valued at R$ 140,000.00 were seized, originating from Recife (PE) and destined for Ananindeua. The transporter presented an invoice indicating, as the recipient, a final consumer who is not a taxpayer, “and in this case, the collection of the ICMS Differential Rate (Difal) that was not collected is due,” informed the revenue inspector.

The goods, with a total value of R$ 184,451.57, were retained and two Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were issued, totaling R$ 23,150.02, which were paid and the loads released.
