Works on the Breves Waterway Terminal advance and ensure safety and comfort
In Marajó, 11 terminals have already been delivered, strengthening the port infrastructure of the region
With more than 52% of the services completed, the new Breves Waterway Terminal, on the island of Marajó, will provide passengers with more comfort and safety - during boarding and disembarking. In addition to strengthening the port infrastructure of the region.
With an investment of over R$ 13 million, the space will have boarding and disembarking areas, ticket sales counters, restrooms, shops, restaurants, decks, and spaces for cultural events.
The work is being carried out by the Port and Waterway Company of the State of Pará (CPH), and is already in the final stages of masonry, with plastering and rendering - stages that prepare the wall for cladding; also, the upper, lower, and mezzanine flooring, as well as the construction of the snack bar and ticket counter areas.
The president of CPH, Hilton Aguiar, emphasizes that the new space will benefit local commerce and the quality of service provided to the population. “This Terminal will play a fundamental role for the city of Breves and the entire Marajó region, due to its strategic location, it will ensure more comfort and safety for passengers. In addition to strengthening tourism and the economy of the region.”
Floating - The naval work is in the finalization of the structure, with a floating platform and a metal ramp being constructed in Breves, in Marajó. A second phase is being built at a shipyard in Ananindeua - which, after the completion of the works, will be taken to the Marajoara municipality.
Mobility - The new terminal will help in the boarding and disembarking of passengers and producers who use the vessels that arrive and depart from the regions.
