The Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP) promotes in Itupiranga, in southeastern Pará, a series of lectures and courses on literary production next Thursday, 29. Registration is free and can be done at the Municipal Culture Department or online until next Tuesday, 27.

The literary action is part of the project "FCP Throughout Pará" which promotes art and culture actions in all integration regions of the State. In Itupiranga, the activities will take place in the morning at the City Council and in the afternoon at the city's Culture Department.

The morning program includes a round table with local authorities and managers; a discussion about the region's literature created by women and a lecture on book, reading, and library policies, given by the FCP's Editorial Promotion coordinator, Neila Garcês.

"On this occasion, information will be shared about the reach of the actions promoted by the FCP throughout Pará, as well as ways to ensure that new partnerships allow for greater access of the Pará society to the cultural goods of our state, with reports on successful partnerships," highlights Neila Garcês.

Participating in the morning program are the mayor of Itupiranga, Wagno Godoi; the Secretary of Education, Rosania Lucena; the Secretary of Culture, Lázaro Roni; the Director of Education, Verônica Haidar; and the president of the City Council, Domingos Porto, in addition to writers Rutilene Lindozo, Eliane Leite, and Francisca Cerqueira, who will discuss literature created by women in the region. The chat will be moderated by Jackeline Cavalcante.

Courses - In the afternoon, from 2 PM to 6 PM, courses aimed at classroom teachers will be held. The classes will take place at the Municipal Culture Department.

The courses offered are: "The Magic of Storytelling," taught by Gabi Silva; "Cordel in School," with instructor Adão Almeida; "The Paths of Stones to the Pages," with Airton Souza.

"The Magic of Storytelling" aims to share knowledge about the art of narrating stories, using techniques and practices of orality.

"Cordel in School" is a training aimed at teachers and other interested parties, with the goal of promoting access to cordel texts and the social themes addressed in them – an interesting didactic tool for the development of written expression.

Meanwhile, "The Paths of Stones to the Pages" offers training on the journey of writers from the idealization of the work, through publication, to its circulation in the market.

Registration - To participate in the lectures and courses, registration must be completed by next Tuesday, 27. For more information, you can contact the FCP by phone at (91) 3284 9087 or by email: [email protected]
