Seduc brings ‘Caravana Saeb’ to Santarém and mobilizes educators to strengthen learning in the western region
The initiative strengthens the preparation of the state network for Saeb 2025 with training, data analysis, and pedagogical strategies adapted to the regional reality

The State Department of Education (Seduc) began, this Monday (19), another stage of the ‘Caravana Saeb’ in the municipality of Santarém, in western Pará. The initiative is part of a series of pedagogical actions aimed at preparing the state education network for the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb) 2025, focusing on the continuous improvement of the performance of Pará students.
During the visit to Santarém, education professionals from the neighboring municipalities of Mojuí dos Campos, Belterra, and Aveiro were also mobilized. The program included discussion circles, analysis of educational indicators, debates on management strategies, and the exchange of experiences among school leaders and technicians from the Regional Education Directorates (DREs).

“Today, the Caravana is in the Santarém region, where we are serving not only the municipality but also Mojuí, Belterra, and Aveiro. This is a moment to discuss strategies for Saeb 2025, to get to know the leaders who coordinate the process in schools, and to carry out customized work according to the local reality, so that Pará continues to be the state that grows the most in education,” highlighted Júlio Meireles, Deputy Secretary of Basic Education at Seduc.
The Caravana Saeb is directed at school managers, teachers, and DRE technicians, promoting the strengthening of pedagogical practices and encouraging quality education based on evidence and results.
“The Caravana arrived at the right time. Just like the students, teachers and principals also need motivation. Talking about Saeb is essential for us to align our practices. This is the moment to adjust what we are doing to achieve even better results in 2025,” emphasized Lúcia Sousa, principal of the State School Antônio Batista Belo de Carvalho.

Exchange of good practices - Throughout the day, participants shared successful experiences, analyzed data, and participated in technical guidance led by Seduc specialists. The proposal is to involve all actors in the school community in the commitment to raise learning rates and ensure that each student is, in fact, learning.
“This first moment is being very important. The secretary's speech was fundamental to motivate us, especially us, who are leaders in schools. May we be able to take ownership of everything that is being passed on in this caravan, because it is essential,” reinforced Márcia Xavier Belo, vice-principal of the State School Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe.
The agenda of the Caravana Saeb continues this Tuesday (20) to Monte Alegre and, on Thursday (23), arrives in the municipality of Óbidos. During the meetings, in addition to pedagogical training, dialogue circles with educators will be promoted, reinforcing the commitment of the Government of Pará to the quality of education in all regions of the state.
