Cosanpa carries out services and ensures water supply for consumers in Santarém
Irurá system receives maintenance, it supplies the neighborhoods Esperança, Diamantino, Jardim Santarém, Caranazal, Aeroporto Velho, Interventoria, among others
The Pará Sanitation Company (Cosanpa) has completed maintenance on the pump installed at intake point 5 (PT 5) of the Irurá System, in Santarém, in the western region of Pará. The equipment was removed for technical adjustments and reinstalled after the service, which was carried out to maintain the efficiency of the system, responsible for supplying approximately 63 thousand consumers in the neighborhoods Esperança, Diamantino, Jardim Santarém, Caranazal, Aeroporto Velho, Interventoria, Prainha, Santa Clara, and Aparecida.
According to Cosanpa, the service was necessary to ensure the regularity of water supply and prevent operational failures that could directly affect the population. According to Cosanpa's water coordinator, sanitary engineer Carlos Predroso, the work is part of the scheduled maintenance actions that the Company carries out to ensure the good performance of the systems.
“This type of maintenance is essential for the Irurá System to continue operating safely. The pump at PT 5 is one of the main responsible for the water intake that reaches the homes.” Predroso stated.
