Breves wins the Efficiency Trophy at the first regional of Joapa, in Oeiras do Pará
The award distinguishes the municipality that accumulates the most points in the competition, which brings together 520 athletes from seven municipalities in six modalities.

The largest amateur sports competition in the state, the Jogos Abertos do Pará (Joapa), concluded on the morning of this Sunday at its first Regional - Marajó I, in the city of Oeiras do Pará, with the delegation from Breves winning the most coveted trophy of the XIV edition, the Efficiency Trophy. The municipality stood out in the modalities of futsal, handball, volleyball, and table tennis, accumulating the highest score of the games, 56 points. The Efficiency Trophy rewards the municipality that accumulates the most points in the competition. The event brought together around 520 athletes, seven municipalities, and six modalities.
Joapa is promoted by the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel). The matches were held at Quadra Raimundo Arcanjo da Costa, Quadra Admir Rodrigues, Arena Municipal, Quadra Ely Carlos França, and SINTEPP.
The Secretary of Seel, Cássio Andrade, emphasized the start of Joapa in Oeiras do Pará as a success. “The largest amateur competition in Pará's sports started beautifully in the Marajó I regional. We are happy for this moment of integration and promotion through sports developed by the Government of Pará, through Seel. I want to congratulate all the municipalities that participated in this festive moment of Pará's sports for Marajó. We also thank the partnership and support of the Oeiras do Pará city hall, which provided all the support and welcomed everyone wonderfully. This is sports, this is the Government of Pará,” said the secretary.

The champion table tennis athlete Railton Passos highlighted his happiness for winning the title and the support from the Government of Pará, through Seel.
“I am very happy! I have been training all this time, we who train, we don’t stop close to the competition. This Monday we will continue training aiming for the state phase. We just want to thank, thank the Municipal City Hall of Breves for the unconditional support, to the State Government, which spares no effort to provide the best for us. And now it’s just time to celebrate,” said the table tennis athlete.
The municipalities that participated in the Marajó-I regional were: Bagre, Breves, Curralinho, Oeiras do Pará, Ponta de Pedras, and São Sebastião da Boa Vista.
