Sefa seizes 78 tons of beef in Abel Figueredo
In Cachoeira do Pará, kitchen items, bedding, bath items, and toys valued at over R$ 133,000 were seized.

State tax inspectors seized 78 tons of beef that were being transported from Rondon do Pará to Fernandópolis-SP. The cargo was valued at R$ 1,512,816.25. The seizure occurred during an inspection carried out on Wednesday, the 14th, by the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Carajás, in the southeastern part of the state.
The seizure took place at the Carne de Sol tax post on the BR-222 highway, in the rural area of Abel Figueiredo. "Three trucks were approached by the inspection, and upon examining the tax documents, it was found that the invoices described the operations as 'shipment for industrialization by order'. However, we verified that it was a taxable sale normally subject to ICMS, and the issuing company did not have a differentiated tax regime for exemption from the tax," said the coordinator of Carajás, Cicinato Oliveira.
Three Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were drawn up, totaling R$ 72,615.18, referring to the tax and fine. The amounts were paid, and the goods were released after tax regularization.

Gurupi – At the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Gurupi, in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, a Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was drawn up on the same day, amounting to R$ 45,694.57, referring to the seizure of kitchen items, bedding, bath items, and toys valued at R$ 133,609.82.
"A truck coming from Maracanaú (CE), heading to Macapá (AP) was stopped for inspection, and the officials suspected the veracity of the information on the presented invoice, as the volume did not match the size of the bitrem vehicle," explained the unit coordinator, Gustavo Bozola.
The inspectors conducted a physical verification of the cargo and found kitchen items, bedding, tableware, bath items, and toys without any tax documentation. The goods were valued according to their prices in the national market at R$ 133,609.82.
