PC arrests man in the act for storing child and adolescent sexual content
The action is part of an operation coordinated by the Federal Police in 27 federative units, focusing on the arrest of suspects of this type of crime

The Civil Police of Pará participated, this Wednesday (14), in the operation "Integral Protection II", coordinated by the Federal Police, which took place simultaneously in 27 federative units with the participation of Civil and Federal police, aiming to identify and arrest suspects across the country who act, mainly, on the internet with the intent to store, share, produce, and sell material of child and adolescent sexual abuse.
The action of the PCPA took place on the morning of this Wednesday (14), through the Division for Combating Crimes Against Vulnerable Groups Committed by Cyber Means (DCCV), a unit linked to the State Directorate for Combating Cyber Crimes (DECCC).

"Our goal was to execute a search and seizure warrant, granted by the Court of the 1st Police Inquiry and Precautionary Measures of Belém. At the time, a man was caught in the act storing extensive material of child and adolescent sexual abuse on mobile devices. He was arrested in the Coqueiro neighborhood, and hard drives and a cell phone were seized, which will be examined by the PCE," explained Delegate Lua Figueiredo, head of the DCCV.
The operation aims for greater integration between federal and state police forces, which work to curb the actions of criminals who store, share, sell, and produce material of sexual abuse of children and adolescents. Furthermore, the national operation also demonstrates the engagement and commitment of various public agents involved in defending the sexual dignity of the victims.

Agents from the State Scientific Police (PCEPA), through the forensic team of the Computer Forensics Management (GPI), also participated in the operation. They analyzed the cell phone found with the suspect and also extracted two notebook hard drives for further analysis.
"At the location, a preliminary inspection of the devices found was conducted. However, a more detailed analysis is necessary, so the devices are sent to the PCEPA. With the use of forensic tools, we will be able to extract and conduct deeper analyses of the data," explained criminal expert Marcelo Maués.

The Civil Police of Pará warns parents and guardians about the importance of monitoring and guiding their children in the virtual world as well, protecting them from the risks of sexual abuse. Prevention is essential to ensure the safety and well-being of children and adolescents.
