Sefa seizes over 30 tons of fish in Dom Eliseu in southeastern Pará
Cargo worth R$ 275,000, departed from Belém heading to Minas Gerais

Inspection by the state revenue inspectors of the State Department of Finance (Sefa), stationed at the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit in Itinga, in the municipality of Dom Eliseu, at km 1.481 of the BR 010 highway, northeastern Pará, seized, on Tuesday (13), 30,140 kilograms of frozen fish.
The merchandise, valued at R$ 275,500.00, originated from the municipality of Belém and was destined for the municipalities of Betim and Santa Luzia, both in Minas Gerais.
“During the inspection process, it was verified that the company sending the merchandise was in the fiscal situation of 'Non-Regular Active', thus losing the right to the reduction of the tax burden applied to the operation. Because of this, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, in the amount of R$ 46,284.00 referring to the ICMS and fine,” said the unit coordinator, Rafael Brasil.
