The Pará Center for Hemotherapy and Hematology Foundation (Hemopa) held an external blood donation campaign on Monday (12) at the Adventist College of the Amazon (Faama), located in the municipality of Benevides, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém. The action included a collection room set up within the institution, ensuring comfort and safety for the volunteers.

The mobilization is part of Hemopa's calendar of external campaigns, aimed at increasing access to donation and reinforcing the stocks of the state blood network, especially during periods of higher demand.

The partnership with Faama has been ongoing for several years, with two editions of the campaign each year. "Students from the Academic Leagues actively participate, mobilizing colleagues, staff, and family members. The expectation is to collect 80 bags of blood in this edition," informed Vanessa Pimentel, social worker at Hemopa.

Zélia Saldanha, Nursing Coordinator at Faama: "The action strengthens student involvement and encourages the charitable act of blood donation."

For the Nursing Coordinator at Faama, Zélia Saldanha, the action represents a significant contribution to the education of students and to society. "It is a way to strengthen our students' involvement and contribute to the population, encouraging the charitable act of blood donation," she emphasized.
