Moments of connection between generations gain even more meaning in delicate contexts such as the hospital environment. With this in mind, the Public Regional Hospital of Marajó (HRPM), in Breves, held a special program last Friday (9) in honor of Mother's Day. The action included an emotional reunion between three generations of the same family, reinforcing the State Government's commitment to comprehensive and humanized care for the population of the region.

The reunion was organized by the Humanization Working Group (GTH) of the unit and involved Letícia Tenório Ribeiro, 18 years old, who accompanies her daughter, Luiza Ribeiro, only 3 months old, hospitalized in the Pediatric ICU, and her mother, Elisângela Tenório Ribeiro, 40 years old. The moment was marked by affection and welcome, strengthening family ties in a scenario of overcoming and hope.

“Being a mother is everything good, it’s wonderful. Even though it’s not the way I imagined, I am happy to be able to celebrate Mother's Day with family,” declared Elisângela, visibly emotional.

Activities with pregnant women and patients

The program included actions aimed at users, companions, and collaborators of the unit, focusing on the emotional strengthening of families. Pregnant women attended at the Pregnant Women's Space participated in a special breakfast, promoting welcome and integration in a delicate moment full of expectations. In the afternoon, an activity was held with mothers of babies hospitalized in the Neonatal and Pediatric ICUs, reinforcing the emotional support offered by the multidisciplinary team.

Paloma Viegas, 32 years old, participated in the action and thanked for the care received. “It is very gratifying to receive this tribute. Today I am holding my baby in my arms and, thank God, everything went well. Thank you to the team for everything,” said the nursing technician.

The farmer Graciele Cardoso Moreira, 29 years old, also shared her emotion. “It was great. Actions like this welcome the children and give us strength. My daughter is going to have surgery, and I was very anxious. Now I feel more at ease and grateful for the way they are taking care of everything here.”

Movie session and discussion circle

The tributes extended to patients in the Hemodialysis sector, who participated in a movie session with the film “I Am Still Here.” After the screening, a discussion circle was held led by psychologist Vinícius Vanzaler, who highlighted the importance of the activity for emotional support. “It was a moment of great sensitivity, where patients and companions could share feelings about love, loss, and resilience, strengthening bonds and creating an environment of empathy.”

In addition to the patients, hospital collaborators were also honored with gifts, in recognition of the essential role they play daily in caring for the Marajoara population.
