A swift and strategic action by the Military Police of Pará resulted, this Saturday (10), in the seizure of weapons, ammunition, and drugs in the municipality of Ananindeua, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém. The operation was conducted by officers from the 30th Battalion, who, based on a tip received during patrol, intercepted the actions of armed suspects in the Marighella neighborhood.
The occurrence was recorded on Chico Mendes street, where police teams were informed about the presence of heavily armed individuals, possibly involved in crimes committed in the Aurá neighborhood and surroundings. Upon arriving at the location, the agents spotted suspects in front of a residence. As the patrol car approached, the individuals fled into the interior of the property.

During the incursion, one of the suspects, armed with a 12-gauge shotgun, pointed the weapon at the police officers, who reacted immediately to neutralize the threat. The suspect was hit, received assistance at the Metropolitan Hospital of Ananindeua, but did not survive the injuries.
In the residence, the military seized an industrial 12-gauge shotgun, seven rounds of the same caliber (two fired and five intact), 16 rounds of 5.56 caliber rifle ammunition, 54 packages of a substance resembling cocaine, a block of approximately 300 grams of a substance analogous to marijuana, and a motorcycle reported as stolen.
According to information gathered at the scene, the suspect was said to be the orchestrator of criminal "missions" in the Águas Brancas, Marighella, and Guamá neighborhoods, with alleged ties to factions from Rio de Janeiro. He is also being investigated for direct involvement in at least six homicides.
The occurrence was recorded at the 14th Urban Section of Ananindeua, and investigations are ongoing to ascertain the actions of the criminal group.

For Lieutenant Colonel Fábio Campos, commander of the 30th Battalion of the Military Police, the operation reflects the ongoing work of the corporation in combating organized crime. “The action of the Military Police in this occurrence reinforces our commitment to the safety of the people of Pará. Our teams are in constant readiness to combat organized crime, protect lives, and ensure public order. The swift response of the unit prevented weapons and drugs from continuing to circulate in the community and demonstrated, once again, the efficiency of the integrated and preventive work carried out by the Military Police,” he emphasized.
