Humanization and care in special actions mark Mother's Day at HRPC
Public Regional Hospital of Castanhal (HRPC) promotes a welcoming environment
This Sunday, May 11, the Public Regional Hospital of Castanhal (HRPC) promotes actions that reinforce the commitment to humanizing the hospital environment, making it more welcoming and less stressful for patients and families.
Mother's Day, a date full of meaning, is celebrated with much affection and care, reinforcing the importance of treating each patient with respect, empathy, and individualized care.
Humanization in the hospital is fundamental because it recognizes that behind each patient, there is a story, a family, and emotions that need to be respected. When the environment is more welcoming, emotional well-being improves, aiding recovery and bringing more comfort to those going through difficult times.
For this reason, HRPC invests in actions that bring people closer, promote dialogue, and strengthen emotional bonds. To honor the mothers who are hospitalized, the hospital's psychology service prepared a special surprise. All of them received a personalized card, with a photo of their families, in addition to an emotional record that tells a bit of each patient's story through photos, nicknames, football teams, favorite foods, and other particularities.
This information was kindly provided by the patients' children, who actively participated in this tribute. The psychology coordinator, Emily Nayara, explained: “The construction of the emotional record is a practice aimed at the emotional well-being of patients. We took advantage of Mother's Day to also create a personalized card, similar to the record, with the aim of providing comfort to the hospitalized mothers. This initiative brings the patient's family closer, making them feel welcomed on this very special day.”
One of the honorees was Marcilia Sarmento Rodrigues, 46, a resident of Salinópolis. She has been hospitalized since May 7, undergoing investigation of her clinical condition. Marcilia's daughters, Marcilene, Maria Vitória, and Juliane Rodrigues, helped in the preparation of the emotional record and the card.
“I know I won't be present this Mother's Day, but I am here seeking my health for them. Seeing the record and the card is like they are here with me. I am very happy and grateful for this affection,” said Marcilene, emotionally.
These celebrations demonstrate the care, respect, and concern that HRPC has for mothers, recognizing the fundamental role they play in our lives.
Promoting actions that humanize care is essential to create a more humane environment, where the patient feels truly cared for and valued.
The goal of HRPC is always to promote a more humane and welcoming environment for all patients and their families. The hospital's general director, Patrícia Hermes, highlights the management and assistance commitment. “Our goal is to make the hospital environment welcoming so that patients have, as much as possible, a good experience during their hospitalization.”
