With more than 75% of the works completed, and delivery scheduled for October of this year, the Amazon Bioeconomy and Innovation Park, in Belém, is already beginning to transform the landscape of sustainability promotion in Pará. Much more than an infrastructure center in the tourist complex Porto Futuro II, the Park establishes itself as a reference in a new chapter in the trajectory of Amazonian development.

It is an integrated space that connects technological innovation, traditional knowledge, and sustainable entrepreneurship, valuing local communities, researchers, industries, and investors, in order to transform the sociobiodiversity of the grand Amazon into economic and social solutions that walk hand in hand with environmental preservation.

“The evolution of the works means not only the physical advancement of the project but the materialization of a new development model for the Amazon. The Park is born as a link between the knowledge of our people, the inputs from the forest, and cutting-edge science,” says Camille Bemerguy, Deputy Secretary of Bioeconomy at the State Department of Environment and Sustainability (Semas).

Differentiated Infrastructure - The Park will feature two large complementary structures: the Innovation Center and the Socioeconomics Center. Together, they will house startups, community businesses, industries, and research institutions, offering everything from coworking spaces and product development laboratories to specialized mentoring, training, incubation, and acceleration services.

Among the project's differentiators is the Factory Laboratory, a technological space focused on the development and production of food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and other derivatives from forest materials, prioritizing the addition of value to Amazonian products. The Park will also host the Innovation Showroom, with a “one-stop shop” for business services, a Social Gastronomy Center, and the Forest Knowledge School, valuing the ways of life in the region.

A priority part of the State Bioeconomy Plan of Pará (PlanBio), the Park will further boost bioeconomy as a strategy for generating jobs and income in Pará.

Viability - With the completion of the works, the Park will unite science, tradition, and sustainability in promoting development. Designed as a living, dynamic space, with architecture inspired by Amazonian culture, the Park positions Pará as a reference in bioeconomy, adapting to climate urgencies with concrete and viable solutions.

The Park will be a hub for attracting “green investments,” impact enterprises that respect the forest and generate value for its populations. With this infrastructure, the State consolidates the construction of a sustainable development model, placing the Amazon at the center of the green economy.
