Cultural Foundation of Pará opens registrations for the Branco de Melo Award 2025

Unpublished proposals, individual or collective, in various segments and practices of visual arts will be awarded

The Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP) published in the edition of this Wednesday (7) of the Official State Gazette the Branco de Melo Award 2025 notice, which aims to encourage artistic and cultural production in the different regions of Pará. The award for selected artists is R$ 25,000. To register, it is necessary to fill out the electronic form by the next June 9.

Up to nine unpublished proposals, individual or collective, in their various segments and practices of visual arts will be awarded. Exhibition proposals must follow the rules established by Law No. 10,851/2025, which prohibits the use of public funds, within the State of Pará, in events and services that promote, directly or indirectly, the sexualization of children and adolescents.

In addition to the cash prize, the notice provides access to the 2025 schedule of Theodoro Braga Gallery, Benedito Nunes Gallery, and Ruy Meira Gallery, at no cost to the awardee. Projects that value, in their scope, research, artistic experimentation, Brazilian cultural diversity in its most distinct symbolic aspects, gender, ethnic, and generational identity, among others, are included in the list of qualified projects for registration.

The artistic projects presented must aim to exhibit drawings, paintings, photographs, prints, installations, integrated arts, among other languages of contemporary art.
