The Civil Police of Pará, through the Delegacy of Protection to the Fan and Major Events (DPTGE/DIOE), launched, on the morning of this Tuesday (06), the operation "Intolerance". The action aimed to execute preventive arrest warrants against those investigated for involvement in the crimes of sports disturbance and qualified robbery, on February 22, the Saturday before the first classic Remo X Paysandu of this year.

Delegate Marcos André Araújo, director of DPTGE, a unit linked to the Division of Investigation and Special Operations (DIOE), highlighted that the investigation began to identify the victim.

"As there was no record of a police report regarding the crime, we started the efforts to locate the worker who was assaulted and had his belongings stolen. We accessed the video that circulated on social media showing the assault and managed to find the victim, who came to the police station to give a statement. The video also allowed us to identify those involved and the vehicles present at the crime scene. It is important to emphasize that the assaulted individual is not part of any organized cheering group and was only wearing the shirt he received as a gift from a friend."

Understand the case - The crime occurred on Saturday, February 22, 2025, the eve of the first RExPA classic of the year. The victim was returning from work along Avenida Júlio César, in Belém, when he was approached by several men who are part of an organized cheering group of Paysandu Sport Clube. For wearing a shirt from the Torcida Uniformizada do Fortaleza (TUF), the worker was brutally assaulted.

The worker was taken by surprise, knocked to the ground, violently assaulted until he fainted, and then dragged along the public road. During the criminal act, the suspects stole the shirt, a mobile phone, and the amount of R$ 300, as reported by the victim.

"During the investigations, the victim's mobile phone was found in the possession of a subject who will be charged with the crime of receiving stolen goods. Returning the phone to the victim was one of the most significant moments of the operation. It was satisfying to see the expression of gratitude in the victim's eyes at the moment he received back his property, the result of his daily effort. This reinforces the commitment of PCPA not only to qualified repression of crime but also to concrete reparation for the damages suffered by victims," concluded the director of DPTGE.

Three of the perpetrators were identified, had their preventive arrests made, and are at the disposal of Justice. Investigations are ongoing for the complete identification of all those involved in the criminal act, and the Civil Police reaffirms its commitment to repressing violence associated with football, as well as to protecting citizens who wish to exercise their right to go and come safely.
