On this Friday (2), in Vila Jabaroca, in the municipality of Primavera, northeastern Pará, Governor Helder Barbalho inaugurated the first sports hall in the locality — a facility that promises to positively transform the local reality.

In his speech, the governor highlighted the importance of the new structure for the community. “Primavera is receiving a superstructure that will work in favor of education, culture, and the local youth,” he stated.

He also emphasized that the gym will be an essential space for the development of sports activities, leisure, and social programs aimed at the population.

Helder Barbalho also emphasized the collaboration between government spheres. “We did this through the partnership of the State Government with the Municipal City Hall of Primavera, in addition to the support of parliamentarians who have been collaborating.”

The space, with a capacity for 160 people, was built with a total investment of R$ 898,738.90 — with R$ 603,809.52 coming from the Federal Government and R$ 294,979.38 from the State Government, through the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel).

The new sports court has 1,007.18 m², of which 529.72 m² are designated for the games area. With bleachers, access ramps, and facilities adapted for people with disabilities, the gym is ready to host various sports modalities, such as futsal, handball, volleyball, and basketball. Additionally, it will also be used for cultural events, shows, and other entertainment activities, contributing to the economic dynamics of the region.

Daniela do Socorro, a resident of Vila Jabaroca for 39 years, expressed her satisfaction with the inauguration: “Great. This is a space for young people to have fun,” she commented.
