With the aim of strengthening interpersonal relationships and promoting a more welcoming environment in the workshops, the Curro Velho Workshop Center held a training session with the instructors of Module II on the afternoon of this Wednesday (30). The conversation circle had the theme "Me and the Other: How to Avoid Conflicts," promoting reflections on empathy, coexistence, and diversity.

The meeting was led by professionals from the Cultural Foundation of Pará: social worker Josilene Cunha and psychologist Francisco Aires. The purpose of the activity was to encourage the exchange of experiences among the instructors, as well as to reinforce the importance of respecting the individualities of the workshop participants.

"The meeting aims to raise awareness and reflect on current issues related to the diversity of the audience participating in the workshops, as well as their specificities, rights, duties, and the laws in force," explained Josilene Cunha.

Singing teacher Evs Cris, who is participating in Curro Velho for the first time as an instructor, highlighted the importance of the moment to create bonds with colleagues and prepare for the new experience in the classroom:

"I believe this meeting was important for our interaction, in addition to allowing us to get to know better the other people we are working with. I am filled with good expectations for the classes; being here as a teacher is a great achievement for me."

Josilene Cunha, social worker at FCP

The training is part of the preparation of professionals who will work in the workshops of the second module of Curro Velho, a space that has contributed for decades to the artistic, civic, and human training of children, youth, and adults in Belém.
