In commemoration of World Autism Awareness Day, celebrated in April, the ParáPaz Foundation held the "Blue Pedal" on Tuesday (29) in the municipality of Mocajuba, northeastern Pará. The event gathered more than 400 participants, including men and women, in an action that took over the streets of the city. The number of cyclists was even greater along the route, as many people spontaneously joined the movement.

The ParáPaz Social Inclusion Unit has been intensifying the campaign within the municipality through educational actions, discussion circles, and partnerships with associations linked to the autism cause. "We intensified the campaign within the unit, through actions in partnership with the associations and concluded with the pedal, calling all of society to strengthen this awareness together," highlighted Edilene Meireles, the unit coordinator.

The action also marked the culmination of the activities of the "Open Spaces" project carried out during the month. During this period, workshops and listening moments were promoted, involving the community, schools, and families, to reinforce that autism needs to be understood, welcomed, and respected.

The mobilization promoted by ParáPaz aims to give visibility to the cause, encourage respect, welcome, and seek ways to ensure the rights of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
