In honor of Mother's Day, Estação das Docas will host a special edition of the Arte e Chic Belém Fair on Sunday (4). The public will be able to closely observe the talent and strength of women who, through entrepreneurship, transform challenges into opportunities. With free entry, the fair brings together more than 100 exhibitors in the areas of handicrafts, author fashion, and gastronomy, as well as a cultural program featuring singer Maria Lu and DJ Márcio Lins.

More than just a space for buying and selling, the Art&Chic Fair promises to be a territory of affection, welcome, and visibility. Especially in this edition, the event highlights the work of mothers who, amidst the intense routine of caring for their children, have found in entrepreneurship a way to ensure financial autonomy and personal fulfillment.

This is the case of Aline Furtado, an exhibitor for about five years, who saw in her own business a way to grow alongside her son Rodrigo. "When he worked at the mall, he earned little. The store started to grow, and I saw that together we could go further. I took him out of there, and today he is my actual partner. I take care of the administration, and he is the soul of sales. Thanks to this work, he gained independence, lives alone, and maintains everything with what we built together. It’s a family business, made with dedication," Aline reports, emotional.

The transformative strength of atypical mothers also has guaranteed space at the fair. An "Inclusive Space" is offered philanthropically to welcome these women who, in addition to caring for children with neurodevelopmental disorders, fight to ensure sustenance and dignity with the fruit of their own work.

Rosilene Rocha is one of these mothers. She reconnected with herself and her dreams through crochet, learned at the age of nine. Mother of Davi, 14, and Isaac, 7, both autistic, she met other atypical mothers during her sons' therapy sessions and began participating in inclusive fairs. "This Fair was a turning point. This is the fourth time I participate, and it is always an opportunity to showcase my work and also to generate income. We don’t always have a support network, and going out to work is a challenge. Events like this help us move forward with dignity and joy," she states.

The participation of atypical mothers in the fair gains even more relevance at a time of awareness and visibility on the subject. In April, a month dedicated to autism awareness, initiatives like this reinforce the importance of spaces that welcome, inform, and value the multiple experiences within the spectrum.

Also returning to the fair with hope and enthusiasm is Elaine Oliveira, an exhibitor of bows and accessories for three years. For two years, she has included sensory toys and inclusive items in her production. Mother of Samuel, 18, who is autistic, Elaine shares that, due to not having a support network, her son usually accompanies her to the fairs. "He likes it, participates calmly. And I am very grateful for spaces like this. We are not victims; we are warriors. We produce in the intervals of fatigue, between one therapy and another, and we fight with great determination. Our time is indeed limited, but with true support, we can go far."

In addition to welcoming these stories, the fair also promotes information and awareness. The event coordinator, Chrys Nery, emphasizes the importance of expanding the dialogue on inclusion, "it is essential for society to understand the challenges faced by these mothers and their children. That’s why we make a point of promoting lectures focused on the topic."

In this edition, two lectures will give voice to specialists in the field. "Neurodevelopmental Disorder - TDL: Knowing to Welcome," with speech therapist Sarah Cutrim and psychopedagogue Terezinha Ferreira, and "The Role of Music Therapy in the Multiprofessional Team," with music therapist Cláudio Braga.

"TDL is still little known, even affecting one in every 12 children. It is a neurodevelopmental disorder that needs more visibility. Having the opportunity to talk about this in a space like the fair is essential for more people to have access to information. Only then can we ensure early diagnosis and follow-up with specialized professionals, such as speech therapists and psychopedagogues, who make all the difference in the lives of these children," explains Terezinha.

Mother's Day - For those looking for a gift full of meaning and affection, the Art&Chic Fair offers handmade products, with all the affection and dedication of entrepreneurial mothers. These are pieces that carry stories, such as clothing, accessories, handicrafts, stationery, and home items. And to complete the experience, a food court filled with delights prepared by entrepreneurial mothers will be available to visitors.

Music - The musical attractions promise to liven up the event. Singer Maria Lu, who will take the stage in honor of mothers, celebrates her participation with enthusiasm. "I feel honored to be alongside so many incredible women. It will be a very special performance, made with affection, for all the mothers who strive with their art and creativity," said the singer. DJ Márcio Lins also promises a lot of excitement during the event, bringing more rhythm and energy to the fair.

"I invite everyone to experience this unique event at the Art&Chic Fair. It is an event that celebrates the talent, dedication, and strength of entrepreneurial mothers, as well as being a space for welcome and exchange. Together, we can value these incredible stories and strengthen our creative economy. We look forward to seeing you, to celebrate art, inclusion, and above all, the entrepreneurial spirit that unites us," concludes Chrys Nery, event coordinator.
