Sefa seizes concrete mixer valued at R$ 146 thousand in São Geraldo do Araguaia
State revenue inspectors found that the ICMS related to the Differential Rate had not been properly collected
A new concrete mixer attached to a truck, originating from São Paulo (SP), destined for the municipality of Tucuruí, in the southeast of Pará, was seized on Friday (25), during an inspection carried out by state revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, in the same region. The seizure occurred at the tax post of São Geraldo do Araguaia, on the banks of BR-153, at KM-03. The merchandise was valued at R$ 146 thousand.

“After the physical verification, it was found that the concrete mixer was new. Then, upon analyzing the tax documentation and consulting the system of the Department of Finance, it was identified that the ICMS related to the Differential Rate (Difal), due in interstate operations destined for final consumers, had not been properly collected,” explained the unit coordinator, Cicinato Oliveira.
An Infraction Notice (Ainf) was issued, amounting to R$ 30,281.48, regarding the ICMS and the fine owed to the State Treasury.
