Pará registers the largest hiring of young apprentices in the North region
According to Dieese/PA, between January and November 2024, there were formal hires of over 12,000 young people
The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat for Social Assistance, Labor, Employment and Income (Seaster), renewed this Thursday (24), World Youth Worker Day, the Term of Adherence to the First Job Program with a company that operates in the area of specialized industrial services, KW do Brasil, located in the municipality of Barcarena (Metropolitan Region of Belém).
The partnership, initiated in 2020, continues to benefit young people who wish to enter the job market, reinforcing the commitment to the training of young apprentices in Pará. Participating companies receive the "Citizen Company" seal, a public recognition for their social commitment to the youth of Pará.

"We are always working to find new mechanisms that can attract and generate opportunities for young people who want to enter the market. Having autonomy through work is essential for professional and personal growth. And we, from the state government, continue to permanently establish partnerships that ensure, more and more, opportunities for everyone, throughout Pará," emphasized Inocencio Gasparim, head of Seaster.
Achievement - The renewal strengthens the First Job Program, which since its inception has involved over 3,000 young people from Pará in professional experiences through apprenticeship. Many have been hired by companies at the end of the period as young apprentices.
Among these young people is Juliana da Silva, 20 years old, administrative assistant. She said, "The Program was a turning point in my life. I had never had a professional experience before, and when I joined as an apprentice, everything was new to me. The team welcomed me, I learned over time, developing myself. Today I am here, hired, able to dream of a better future for myself and my family."

Inclusion - For the Deputy Secretary of Labor, Employment and Income, Miriquinho Batista, the Program plays a strategic role in the productive inclusion of the youth of Pará, with Seaster continuously working to ensure that more companies are part of the offer of opportunities for young people throughout the territory of Pará.
"The 'First Job' is more than a market insertion policy. It is a concrete tool for life change. This was one of the companies that believed, from the beginning, in this proposal, which has reaped many fruits, with committed young people transformed by the opportunity," highlighted Miriquinho Batista.
With the renewal of the Term, the expectation is that more young people will be welcomed soon, expanding the cycle of training and inclusion.

Growth - Stories like that of Juliana da Silva consolidate a scenario of opportunities for the youth of Pará. According to a survey by Dieese/PA (Inter-Union Department of Statistics and Socioeconomic Studies), based on data from Caged (General Register of Employed and Unemployed), from the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Pará registered, between January and November 2024, a total of 12,363 young apprentices formally hired. This is a growth of almost 14% compared to the same period in 2023, which gives Pará the status of the largest employer of apprentices in the North region, and the 11th in Brazil.
